Even if you have no gear in the tub, seeing out the back of a traditional canopy with windows is nearly impossible.
This is because you're looking through three layers of tinted glass which is often dirty.
The Utemaster Rear View Camera clips over the top of your rear view mirror in the cab and displays a high-quality video feed showing what's happening behind your ute. This gives you much better visibility if you are transporting a trailer or need to see what's happening behind you.
On a normal reversing camera the position of the camera is fixed low at the back of the vehicle.
This can make it challenging to see the full height of the load you are towing.
The Utemaster Rear View Camera is mounted high on the rear door of the Centurion Canopy, this gives you good visibility of the full load. You can also adjust the view area shown on the display using the interactive touch screen.
If you're travelling at night, it can be hard on your eyes if your dashboard lights are on full brightness.
The Utemaster Rear View Camera has an adjustable brightness so you can adapt it to suit your preference.
This can be adjusted using the 9" interactive touch screen.
Unfortunately you can't always be prepared for what other drivers are doing behind you.
If turned on, the camera will record on a cycle loop - this function continuously records in an indefinite loop without stopping, constantly overwriting the oldest file with the newest video.
A built-in gravity sensor detects an impact and securely saves the video footage on the micro SD Card separate from the continuous loop files.
